Baraton College Signs MOU with Great Lakes University of Kisumu

Baraton College signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK) on February 12, 2021. This MOU allows Baraton College to offer Degree programmes from GLUK. Through the MOU Baraton College Students will be able to earn their degrees and certificates from GLUK once they have successfully completed their studies in their respective programmes/courses. The new MOU between GLUK and Baraton College adds to other existing MOUs between Baraton College and University of South Africa (UNISA) and one with Egerton University.
Collaborations between learning institutions is a practice that has been in existences for many decades. Collaborations allows the institution being mentored to attain university status through Charter as provided for in the University Act (No. 42 of 2012}. Baraton College therefore seeks to become a University during these collaborations.

Baraton College has been offering several programmes and courses ranging from Certificate to Diploma and has produced thousands of graduates who are proudly serving the communities both locally and abroad. Baraton College is rated as one of the leading private institution in veterinary and education programmes/courses in the Rift valley, Nyanza and the Western Region of Kenya. Due to the growing demand for higher education in Kenya, Baraton College has embraced the use of Online, Distance and eLearning (ODeL) as alternative mode of teaching and learning. ODeL is not only cheaper but also efficient and convenient for students.
By Baraton signing of MOUs with GLUK, UNISA and Egerton, accessing College/University education has become a reality to many students who would have other not managed to pursue heir studies. This is because Baraton College focuses on offering quality, affordable and relevant education that is market driven.
